Nicosia weighs a pedestrian-first core
Traffic around the walled city and Mehmet Akif is back on the municipal table.

A proposal to widen pedestrian space in central Nicosia concerns shopkeepers and commuters alike. The municipality wants a simpler flow between the gates and Bandabulya.
The argument is about sharing a narrow city: parking, deliveries and café seating at once. Evening footfall is welcome; morning loading bays are not negotiable.
